BRRRRIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGG!!
Practically jumping out of his skin, Dylan scrambled for his ringing, vibrating, singing and dancing mobile phone that had just sprung to life on his bedside table. Why did these things sound so much louder at night?!
‘Hello?’ he muttered groggily, blearily climbing out of bed and tiptoeing across the room, pulling his robe about him.
‘Dylan! Did I wake you?’ Clara’s cheery voice boomed down the phone. Dylan winced. He’d never understood how she managed to be so cheery at five o’clock in the morning. No, scratch that… He never understood how she managed to be awake at five o’clock every morning.
Without fail.
‘Clara, hi! Of course you did,’ Dylan joked, running a hand through his bed head.
‘Sorry about that! Listen, we were wondering when you were going to be coming back to Bridgeport, if you knew? No pressure, it’s just that we haven’t heard much lately, and, well…’
‘It’s fine, Clara. I’m sorry, I’ve just… I’ve had a lot on my mind lately.’
‘Well that’s understandable Dylan!’
‘No, no, not like that. Clara, listen… I’m not coming back.’
‘What?’
‘I’m not coming back. I’m sorry, I should’ve told you sooner. I love it here in Appaloosa Plains, and I’m buying my house here with the compensation money. I was going to look into a transfer here. I just… I can’t come back, Clara. I’ve already got so much more here than I ever had in Bridgeport…’
Dylan could practically hear Clara’s beaming smile down the phone. ‘Well then in that case Dylan, I’m happy for you. Sad that you won’t be joining us again, but your well being is the priority! I’ll give the Plains’ station a ring and tell them you’ll pop in and see them for a chat, if you like?’
‘That’d be great, Clara! Thank you so much!’ After a quick catch up, Dylan sidled back into bed next to Louise, cuddling up close to her.
‘So you’re not leaving?’
‘You’re awake?!’
‘Of course I am. I’m really happy you’re staying, Dylan…’
Dylan smiled softly to himself, pulling Louise a little closer. ‘I am too, Louise. I am too…’

Amazing chapter Sian! I loved the video, and the music behind it really fit. Freya and Lily are adorable. So I’m guessing Freya is going to be the heir since it said she was older? Unless you decide to do what you did with Rose and Daisy in the Emmetts. So the reason that Puzzle wasn’t in the last few chapters is because Dylan forgot about him completely? Wow! I can’t wait for more!
Yep, Dylan forgot him 🙂 To be fair he did go through something pretty traumatic! I haven’t decided what to do with Freya and Lily with the heirship yet. May do a poll, but watch this space! Thanks for reading 🙂
Ahhh I love the video! I wish I had the time and patience to create videos for my chapters. I’m so jealous, haha!
I’m so happy he’s engaged to Louise, but I’m even more excited about a new imaginary friend in the family! 😀 I love imaginary friends and I especially love Puzzle. I can’t believe Dylan seems to have forgotten Puzzle following his accident! ;n; Now I’m wondering where Puzzle’s been and what he’s been doing all this time. I hope he comes back. I miss that little guy. He may get Dylan into all kinds of trouble, but his heart’s in the right place.
I’ll categorically state now that Freya doesn’t have an imaginary friend – both she and Lily got the dolls, but I’m just using Freya’s to progress the Dylan/Puzzle story. They haven’t bonded or anything, hence the ‘look what I found under my bed’ thing rather than cherished toy, if that makes sense. Onto the chapter- After reading Chap. 29, I was beginning to warm up to Louise again, and after that video (sweetest. thing. ever! Great job on it, may I add) I’m so happy she came back into Dylan’s life.
What I’m very interested in right now is Puzzle- where has he been all these years? I see how Dylan could have forgotten him, but why has *Puzzle* forgotten Dylan- that’s very unlike him! I am truly curious to what is going on…
On another note- Freya and Lily are absolutely adorable! 🙂 I can’t wait to see what sort of mischief they get up to!

Very wonderfully done. The video was beautiful and the twins are so cute! Your writing is magnificent. It really makes you connect with each character so well. That’s what made that video so special… Your readers love both Dylan and Lou, and now we get to see their “home movie” so to speak. It’s funny, too, because I had been watching SIFF Spring 2012 movies earlier this week, thinking it would be so awesome to be able to put together a movie for my family — but I haven’t a clue how to do one and make it look nice, so it may be a while before that ever happens.
Anyway, I’m so glad that Dylan and Louise are together and happy. The twins are too cute! I can already see that Freya is going to be a handful. Haha!

Awwh what a great chapter, i’ve never followed someone’s stories and legacies etc who puts as much effort into theirs as you. I loved the video such a good idea to use something like that, and something different to usual legacies! Can’t wait for next one!

I’m sooooo sorry!! My time has been sorely limited lately, I’ve had loads of stuff on and it’s sucked up all my Simming time. I’m *hoping* to get the next chapter out within the next two weeks at the most, I’ve not even played since I finished this chapter sadly 😦 I’ve been thinking about it a lot though, so hopefully once I get to my game it’ll come together quickly! Hoping it’ll be a biggie, lots to get through in chapter 31 🙂

Ah, no! So rubbish. Quick breakdown – Dylan starts work at the firestation in Appaloosa Plains, Louise moves in with her dog, Ethan dies (:'() Louise gets pregnant and has twin girls, Dylan proposes and Louise accepts 🙂
