Here is where I shall make a note of any mods and custom content I use currently in my game, for anyone who is interested! I’ll keep this updated as I will be adding different pieces as the game progresses.
- I do own all the expansion and stuff packs that are out to date (Town Life Stuff being the latest released), so content is used from all of these.
- If you are unsure as to how to get package files into your game, please read this guide posted on Mod The Sims!
- For the most part I’ll only be posting basic links to sites, not to specific pieces of CC. If you’re wondering where a particular piece of CC is from, then ask me and I’ll let you know.

- twallan – I use the Animator, Debug Enabler, Master Controller, Overwatch, Story Progression and Story Progression Expansion mods made by twallan. I recommend them all. Go nuts. Now.

Hey, I know that you use Kanno’s Moonlight body and face skins, and I was wondering, Would they be relatively similar looking to lady frontbum’s muscular tone for guys? because as cool as her male skin looks on Conrad, abs wouldn’t look good on fat or old guys, but I didn’t want Conrad’s look to change in the middle of a post.
Hmm, I don’t think there’s a MASSIVE difference. Might have to play around with his skin tone a bit in CAS to get it looking exactish… I know what you mean about the muscular skins, they look odd on sims who wouldn’t have a six pack, like the fat guys or the really skinny guys. With the moonlight skin you can use the in-game muscle slider.
I’ve not used LFB’s male skins at all, so I don’t know for sure, but I’d think there wouldn’t be a massivemassive change.
I was just wondering… are these mods/hairs/clothes safe?
By safe I mean, will it mess up my game?
I’m deathly afraid of downloading anything that might crash my game or worse, my computer…
And there are all these problems where an object that was downloaded corrupted the game files, and created monster-looking children.
So is it ok to use these without worrying about my game/computer?
The mods I have in my game at the moment are safe (well, safe in that I’m not having any game issues relating to CC/Mods *touch wood!*). The ones in my game from that list atm are:
twallan’s mods
Tiny Textures Replacements
Camera mods
Not had any problems, they’ve all been updated and are fine
As for CC, I wouldn’t go near anything buy/buildy right now as Pets has caused a load of problems. I have a couple of clutter items in my game and they’re fine, but I wouldn’t risk it if you were at all worried. As for clothes and hair, they don’t tend to cause problems other than a deformed baby or two if it’s badly put together. Anubis is generally really safe for hair as he fixes as well as retextures, really good! If you’re worried, I’d download a few at a time and gradually introduce CC, then test it out in your game (I’d also save a copy of your Saves folder in the Sims Documents to your desktop too as an extra precaution, just in case!). If you do have any problems, you’ll be able to work out which file is causing it.
I say go for it though! I was new to CC with Sims 3 and was really worried, but I’ve never looked back. As long as you’re sensible about it and read what other people have had to say about items, you’ll be fine. Just don’t go too crazy too quickly!

and speaking of downloading… im sorry to be such a nuisance, but is it possible for you to explain it to me? If not, then a link or something will be fine, cause I have been searching, and I can’t seem to find anything written in computer terms that i will understand!

If you have any trouble understanding anything let me know and I’ll see if I can help there, though. Also, you’ll need to have a file extractor installed on your computer – I’d recommend winrar as even though it’s technically only free for a trial, you can use it forever. Also… i went to Anubis’ site, and whenever i was looking through it, a pop-up appreared on my screen saying that there was this thing running on her website that would cause my computer to become unresponsive if I didn’t exit… does this happen to you?
Yep, that is correct about winrar!
With Anubis’ site, was it an unresponsive script? If so that’s nothing to worry about. Usually if you close down your web browser and open it again it’ll all be fine. Was it that? :/ I don’t get anything, just checked now!
So, I went on, and when there was no pop-up, i breathed out a sigh of relief, and started to scroll- and that’s where a new problem developed!

The website doesn’t let me search it!
For example, I used the little rolley thingy at the top of my mouse (not sure how thats called), to scroll a little…. and it took 5-8 seconds (yes, i counted
Then, i tried to use the the sidebar… and it dissapeared!
In my web browser, it said “site not responding”… sooo im not sure what’s the problem
So, I figured I could just continue on the site scrolling like that. However, it froze my computer, and i had to restart it

Which web browser are you using? It is a massive webpage, loads of huge pictures, so it does take a toll on the old web browser! If you’re not using Google Chrome maybe try using it, it’s the browser I use (bestest browser ever) and I have no problems
Just so you know, Anubis has an account at Mod the Sims where he uploads some stuff, and he’s also on facebook if you have an account there, where he links to some of his creations
Ok, thanks. I was using internet explorer, so I’m gonna go Google chrome humnting now…. and yeah.. i think thats the problem (too many pictures on the website).
